2001-08-06 - 9:21 p.m. - We sold our house TWICE! |
We sold our house TWICE tonight! First to a spanish speaking male, who had a female-friend translating (I think), and we had him fill-out and sign a contract, but he had no idea what type of loan he was using, or if he had any down-payment money. The second couple was Vietnamese, and left their name and number for us to call them if the other person turns out to not have the financial backing. The first people said they wanted to buy the house before they had even been inside it. The second set came back with more people (mom & siblings) about 45 minutes later with more questions. I'm just bowled over! THANK YOU GOD! I'm going to be so VERY surprised if either of these actually works out. I mean, we haven't even run an add in the paper! It would sure be nice if it did and we were all moved by Labor day, or close to it. Sis is having her Pampered Chef party on the 8th, and the contract we wrote tonight said that closing would be on the 7th, so we may be moving all that weekend, with a party in-between. Of course, truth be told, if we do actually have closing on the 7th, I'll be packed on the 6th, and ready to move as soon as all the paperwork is finalized! I'm kind of that way. I was supposed to go to a Pampered Chef training class tonight but had to cancel cause I couldn't find anyone to watch the girls while Todd showed the house. I'm glad now I didn't go, as it was quite the whirlwind evening! We put a contract in today on the house with the acre that we looked at last weekend, but we low-balled them, and chances are they won't accept it. If they do, then we've got the 10-day "out" clause that we might excersize, because we've found another house that we REALLY like and would be less work. That acre would just need SO much work. It'd be 5-years before it'd all be presentable, and Mom & Dad said that they thought it'd be a constant project. Well, DH just came over and started rubbing my shoulders....Gotta Run! :) Until next time.... |
