2001-07-19 - 11:34 a.m. - Apologies |
Sorry to all you guys who've signed up for the Christian ring during the last week. I've had such an amazing amount of response that it's taken a while to go through them all. Also, with Earnings Season upon us, work has been difficult. (Not really Christian of me to be goofing off doing personal things when I have a pile of work on my desk.) Natalie has contracted some sort of virus that kept her out of school yesterday. She's not been willing to eat much, but been drinking a TON of juice (as always). Grammy kept her yesterday, and said that she pretty much lay around all day long and didn't do much playing. That is odd for Natalie. When I dropped her off at school this morning, she was chomping on a donut hole, so hopefully, that will be enough calories to keep her going if she decides not to eat anything else today. She was not running any fever this morning, so I'm not as concerned today, as I was yesterday. She is still horse a little bit, but was happy when she got up today. That's an improvement. Of course, she was asleep by 8:15 last night! LOL! We were saying our bed-time prayers, and after Rebekah & I prayed, she whispered the rote, "Jesus, thank you for Mommy, Daddy, & Bekah. Amen" and closed her eyes and was asleep before I finished giving Bekah all her hugs and kisses. (Bekah requires 5 hugs and 5 kisses every night before I can leave the room. She used to prefer the 5th hug to be a big one, but now prefers me to barely touch her on the 5th hug.) Poor kid. Today is another skate day for Rebekah. Grammy was going to go with her, and then spend the day with her. Bekah also has a follow-up appointment with the dr for her ear infection from a couple of weeks ago. Grammy's going to try to get them to measure her, as they weighed her last time, but didn't measure her. We're hoping that as she keeps putting on weight, she is also growing in height. I need to take both of the girls in for haircuts this weekend. I’d REALLY like to have Natalie’s all chopped off, as she won’t let me brush it anyway, but we have a hard enough time holding her still for the bang trim, that I’d be surprised if she’d sit still long enough for a Dorothy Hamil-type cut. I think her hair’s thin enough that she’d look o.k., and even a bit pixie-ish. It’d also make her eyes stand out a little more. Right now her hair just is a big mess and SO detracts from her appearance. DH shaved his head this week. I can’t wait for it all to grow back in. We’re attending our first dinner party with friends & kids on Saturday night. Should be interesting, as the host couple doesn’t have any kids yet, and as such, their house isn’t kid proofed. All the other couples have kids about the same ages, so they should play fine, but I should offer to take some toys over or something. OH! I’m going to start selling Pampered Chef, and am looking for hostesses for parties. The first 6 people to sign up will get their choice of dates & times, and I’ll even supply the groceries! Sign my guestbook or message board if you’re interested….of course, you should live in the DFW Metroplex first. ;) Until next time…. |
