I've been surfing a bit and came across this entry from Alterna-girl. I TOTALLY agree! It's nice that I didn't have to re-invent the wheel! Well said. On another note.... I've gotten so upset with Natalie for pooping in her panties and swimsuit and such. It's such an awful mess to clean up, and I've begun to really chastize her for it, as it is clearly something that she can avoid. Well, on Saturday morning, I hear the sound of the flushing toilet and run to investigate, only to find Natalie dipping her panties in the potty. I ask her, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!??" She said, "I clean my panties." I'm all incredulous and ask her why, so she says that she pooped in them, and is now cleaning them up. HOORAY! :D I was so impressed with her initiative and follow-through, that as soon as I rescued the panties from clogging up the toilet, I praised her for cleaning up after herself. Then, later in the day, she ran to the potty and took care of things the correct way. So maybe I am getting through to her. Bekah, I mean Rebekah, and I played cards & dominos yesterday. She's really got the hang of things, and we each won a game of go-fish. Then we each won a game of dominos. Of course, we just played the match the dots game, and I didn't make her try to get multiples of 5, but she knows her dominos already. She knows the double 6 from the blank 5, and all. She kept asking to play Chicken-foot, but we didn't have the right kind of dominos, and when I told her she said, "right, we need the little trains". She has really been picking up on things from watching all us adults playing the games this last month. Well, I need to get back to work. Until next time.... |
