2001-07-07 - 4:10 p.m. - Fireworks

So much to talk about!

First off, this turned out to be a rough week at work, but as I was able to adjust my schedule enough to go to Naomi's sonogram, I survived. I'm TOO excited about being an Aunt again! I keep buying her diapers for the baby and hope that by the time they are needed, there will be enough.

The girls LOVED the fireworks! They both still talk about them to anyone who will listen. Natalie has asked twice to go see them again. Rebekah was so good, and actually sat and watched the entire show. A good time was had by all. Of course, I spent most of the day playing 84 & 42 w/my family. It's been nice having the Aunt & Uncle in town still. Kind of makes me think that I could enjoy retirement after all.

Got word on Friday that one of my other Uncles, who I had seen at the reunion, had a heart-attack. They put splints in, and I think that he's going to recover, but it's not good news, as he's not yet 50. They have just been having such an amazing amount of stress for the last year, that he just hadn't been taking good care of himself.

The girls are napping now....They didn't even go down until 2p, so it's likely to be 5:30 before they wake up. I should lay down and nap, also, but I have SO much housework and laundry to do.

DH is making progress on finishing his house-updating projects. OH! We bought a new stove on Monday night. Guess I'm a big pushover. I had not planned to buy one at all, and instead managed to buy one brand-new! My hope is that I'll get some use out of it before we move and I have to go back to old appliances, and such.

Umm....what else? Nothing comes to mind...o.k. then...
